Finished!

Times are good around our household. My Dad graduated from orthopaedic residency.

Just to clarify the "So how does it finally feel to be a Dr" question. He actually has been a Doctor since 2005 and it didn't take until 2012 to finish residency because he got "held back" a year. Do they even hold students back in grade school anymore? I sure hope I don't get held back in school. Unless of course it is swim school.

In that case I hope I never graduate. I hope I am assigned Saturday school. Long story short I am really proud of and thankful for all my Dad's hard work.
Despite  the lifetime of unwavering support I provided  my Fathers profession I was not included in all aspects of the celebration. Just look. There is photo documentation to prove it. Missing from picture is Annika Ruth. Why? Because it was past my bedtime. Chucks.

So what if it was a black tie affair? I'm certain I could have found an appropriate attire. It's not like I would have shown up wearing a onezie. I could have found a smashing dress. Still having doubts? To be honest I was my Dad's personal shopper for the event. It's ok though folks. The next day we celebrated by attending family swim. I impress everybody with my love for the water. I pretend it is real hard work.

Really it is just good fun!

News

There I am folks, brightening my Dad's work day by joining him for lunch. After 7 years he finally  gets to graduate. I came along and he finally will graduate. Coincidence?... I think not. In other news I am officially 9 months old. I'm starting to get teeth. I'm starting to crawl, pull myself to standing and basically do gymnastics when my Mom is trying to change my clothes or diaper.
Inching like an inch worm is a great core workout. This week at boot camp my Mom caught me double fisted with stolen toys. Her life is about to get busy. That's for sure.
Now that school is out for the summer I am totally focused on swimming. Sometimes I even swim twice in one day. Dara Torres is old news. It's time for Annika Ruth to make a splash.

Congratulations Graduate

Congratulations to me. I did it. I really did it! I graduated. Congrats graduate!

I'm feeling pretty good about myself as the class was Baby Sign 0-12 months. I graduated before I even turned 9 months old. For comparison sake. I am way, way, way ahead of my Dad. He doesn't even graduate from bone doctor residency until next week and he started 7 years ago.  I'm hard core. I'm bad asterisks. I'm a rock star.  I'm sick. I'm rad. I'm really cool. Oops, I've gone too far. Mom is intervening now saying it is Pomp and Circumstance not pompous and circumstantial.
